A knitting pattern made to your measurements — no maths by hand.
Set-in sleeve with sleeve cap, Japanese shoulder, raglan and round yoke, shoulder slope, V-neck, waist shaping, lace and colorwork. Women’s, men’s and kids’ sizes. Every pattern is checked: stitches between sections, lace balance, sleeve cap against armhole.
Ready-made models
Pick a model — the builder recalculates it for your measurements and your yarn.

Ready-made models
Original Lively Loop designs. Each one is calculated for your measurements and gauge: tap “Make it my size” and the model’s settings are loaded into the builder.
Lace charts
A chart with symbols, written instructions for every row, and a stitch-count check: every decrease has its yarn over. You can change the chart or draw your own and use it in a scarf or cowl.
Colorwork: your own motif
Draw a motif square by square or start from a template — on the right you can instantly see how it will look in knitted fabric and on a sweater or hat. The editor checks for long floats, counts how many repeats fit your round and writes row-by-row instructions, in the round or worked flat.
Studio: your own tutorials
Write your own tutorials and explanations: text, process photos, steps with checkboxes, a pattern from the builder with all its numbers, colorwork and illustrated techniques. A finished tutorial downloads as a single file — sell it, give it away or print it.
Abbreviations
Every abbreviation and symbol used in this site’s patterns, in one place. Entries with a technique have a “How” button with pictures and steps.
Knitting techniques
How to work increases, decreases, cast-ons and bind-offs, short rows, seams and finishing — with illustrations, steps and common mistakes. Every pattern section in the builder links here to the technique it needs.
Quick calculators
Normalize your swatch gauge, calculate a cast-on for a pattern repeat, convert someone else’s pattern to your yarn or spread increases evenly across a row.
Swatch gauge
You don’t have to measure exactly 10 cm — enter any length.
Cast-on for a repeat
Multiple = the stitch pattern repeat. 2×2 rib in the round: 4 + 0, flat and symmetrical: 4 + 2. Horseshoe: 10 + 1.
Convert another pattern
Pattern written for a different gauge? Enter a number from the pattern.
Even increases or decreases
Exact spacing across a row: how many stitches between each increase.
My projects
A project stores a snapshot of your measurements, gauge and engine version, so the pattern won’t change when the formulas are updated. Saved in this browser.
